When physical therapy is mentioned, surgery often comes to mind. At PJ Therapy Services, Inc. we specialize in post-surgical care. We have an established reputation with many area orthopedists and are familiar with post-surgical protocols. Rather it is a total joint replacement, ligament/tendon reconstruction, or stabilization of a fracture, we can efficiently guide you through your recovery process and help ensure a full recovery. We realize that the surgical repair is only part of the solution. The work begins after surgery, and we are here to walk with you each step of the way. 

This is the backbone of our practice. We provide services from head to toe, both chronic and acute. This includes the weekend warrior on the church softball team to arthritic pain from a life well lived. Our combined experience affords you a level of personalized care unmatched by larger corporate clinics but with the intimacy and one-on-one interaction only found in your hometown. 

 Balance dysfunction and frequent falls are common problems for members of our community. Gait training and proper fit and use of assistive devices may be key to regaining independent and safe mobility. Progressive range of motion, strengthening and perturbation exercises are incorporated to address limitations in the body's balance systems. 

Physical therapists are licensed and qualified to treat a wide range of hand injuries including carpal tunnel and trigger finger. In many instances, patients are misinformed that they must attend a specialized hand clinic. Many times, this involves the inconvenience and cost of traveling out of town for services they could have received close to home.

We realize that many injuries occur on the job site. We are contracted with many worker's compensation administrators to provide therapy services for work-related injuries. It is our pleasure to help members of our community regain function and return to the work force. 

Our staff has experience working with athletes of all ages and skill sets, from the little leaguer to the professional athlete. We have a certified athletic trainer on staff with years of experience working with college and high school athletes. We can guide your return to play with sports specific training, throwing programs and return to play sports tests. 

Statistically speaking, 85% of the population will experience some type of spine pain in their life. We are here to help. A variety of manual techniques, postural and core strengthening exercises, as well as mechanical traction may be used in your personalized plan of care. Electrical simulation or ultrasound may be incorporated to expedite your healing and minimize your symptoms. Be it neck or back surgery or the occasional sore back, we will assist you in regaining your mobility and returning to a higher quality of life.
